Je suis en France

Bonjour! I arrived in France after a whopping 25 hour trip in total, but now I am in the wonderful city of Chateau-Arnoux. The flights were great, I met and said quick goodbyes to some great exchange students throughout the journey. I was overwelmed by host mother Pascale and some hillarious Rotary members from my club. I didn't get my checked bags with all my clothes at the airport, they were lost, so I got 100 free euros and an Air France t-shirt! My bags should be here within a week. Last night I went to my clubs first meeting, and I had my first 3 course meal! I don't know how the french aren't fat because I could barely finish anything. My club is very small and very kind. My first host family is not Pascale but the Buffards. I have a host mother, Martine, a host father, Mark, and a host brother, Valentin, who's 14. There are 2 other host siblings are out of the house. Anyways, today I'm going to go buy clothes, and school starts next wednesday, I'm so nervous! I want to try this sport called handball. I'm having a great time so far! Au revoir! P.S. I'm on a french keyboard so I may spell like a 5 year old.

August 16th Visa n' Pins

I got my visa a few days ago and I ordered 100 American flag pins on ebay! I got them to give to other exchange students, Rotary is really big on that thing. The visa's awesome, and it's a mere 9 days until I leave. I'm trying to pack, but it's impossible I swear! Hope y'all are having some bonnes journées, and the next time I post should be right before France!

July 25th San Fran Visa Trip

Went to the consulate office in San Francisco a few days ago. For some reason they sent me to Seattle first, and then to San Francisco. The flights were good, and I got to meet some awesome people! The process wasn't bad at all, just like buying a movie ticket, but it took 15 minutes. Getting real excited for France!
